Windesheim runner-up in both Keuzegids Hbo 2021 and Elsevier’s Best Programmes Ranking

Windesheim University of Applied Sciences again ranks second in the Keuzegids 2021 to be published today. With sixteen top programmes, we are maintaining our strong position. Executive Board President Henk Hagoort: 'The outcome may not come as a big surprise, but it is still a result to be proud of. Despite the restrictions imposed by the corona situation, I can see that everyone is working very hard for our students. That's why I am confident that this commitment and our personal approach will continue to translate into student satisfaction and fine scores in the rankings in years to come'.
Windesheim has a total score of 68 points in the ranking of ‘major universities of applied sciences’ in the Keuzegids Hbo 2021 for full-time programmes, which is two points more than last year. Avans (70 points) leads the list of major universities of applied sciences. NHL Stenden remains third with 66 points. This narrows the gaps in the top three.
Top Programmes
This year, 14 Windesheim Bachelor's degree programmes and 2 Ad programmes have received the 'top programme' quality seal. They have a score of 75 points or higher and are assessed significantly higher than the national average for higher professional education (hbo) programmes, which is 60 points.
Quality seals have been awarded to the following Zwolle-based programmes: Global Project and Change Management, Finance & Control, Business Administration, Architecture and Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, HBO-ICT, Teacher Education in Physical Education, Teacher Education in Biology and Psychomotor Therapy/Psychomotricity.
In Almere, the degree programmes awarded a quality seal are: Business Administration, Marketing Management, HBO-ICT, Spatial Development and the Ad programmes Software Development and Architecture and Construction Engineering.
Elsevier’s Best Programmes Ranking
On Thursday 2 October, the new edition of Elsevier's Best Programmes Ranking was published. Here, too, Windesheim's position in the ranking of universities of applied sciences remains unchanged. As last year, Hanze University of Applied Sciences heads the list, followed by Windesheim. Also the same as last year, the trend analyses on the comparison site reflect the development in student assessments of Windesheim programmes for the period 2014-2018. Elsevier presents data on contact time, efficiency, diplomas and student population as background information on its website.
